Annie The Musical in Brisbane
Annie the Classic Musical is coming back to Brisbane at QPAC for another show to inspire a whole new generation of Brisbane Kids and parents. Anne is one of the most awarded and adored musicals of all time for it’s timeless appeal and optimistic story line.
You can expect performances from Anthony Warlow, Nancye Hayes, Todd McKenney, Chloe Dallimore and Julia Goodwin. In a humorous twist (to us) Alan Jones will be playing the role of Franklin D Roosevelt.
Annie is a broadway musical that was based on the comic strip called Little Orphan Annie. When it first opened on Broadway it ran for 6 years setting a record for the theatre in which it was playing. It is a musical about never giving up with young Annie being dropped off at an orphanage much to the sadness of her poor parents in the time of the depression. They provide her with half a locket, keeping the other half so that when they return they will know who she is. We wont give away the rest of the storyline to any newbies, but it is a tale of love and hope.
