Flying Fox Studios
When my son was 2.5, we discovered Flying Fox Studios at Everton Park. I enrolled my son in one of their scribblers art classes and I was delighted with not only the art aspect but the way in which the classes embraced imagination and often had a literacy component attached.
To me 
the Flying Fox Studios kids shop is also AMAZING- they hand select a range of developmental and unique products that you wont find easily elsewhere. I have often stopped past for birthday and christmas presents knowing that they will always have something interesting. They also stock a range of art supplies like crayons and paints for little hands.

Zoomart
I attended Flying Fox Zoomart for Kids when my eldest son was about 2 1/2. Zoomart is a fun active way of learning through art- different age levels, incorporating stories, games, themes and visual arts. Jack is crazy little soul (on a good day) and I took him along with the hope of unleashing “his animal” on a piece of paper, instead of on the walls and furniture around my home.
The class began with a trip of imagination, in a purpose built “car” (of chairs) to a place where the theme of the term took place, like the ocean or space. The teacher was patient, engaging and enthusiastic, the classes were a success and they were fun. The teacher helped me to understand the right words to use around explaining textures and smells and feelings. I had no idea the impact that this could have in empowering children to feel safe to make their own independent creative decisions.
Story telling and music was often incorporated- collage, painting, gluing, cutting and a real introduction to Art- and best of all I got to see my son explore these skills for the first time. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed that time and can’t wait to attend another class.
Treehouse Playdates
A class that Flying Fox Studios holds for little Brisbane kids, 45 minutes long, containing a mixture of craft, music and a lot of giggles and fun
Fox Blocks
A Creative Construction Program for kids using materials such as lego, K’nex, Edushape and reclaimed objects. For ages from pre-prep right thru to grade 9!
