10 reasons to eat at Outback Jacks at Aspley

I am not a food reviewer nor do I claim to be BUT every so often I head to a place to eat with my kids and I am impressed enough to write a review- it doesn’t happen often. I didnt even take my camera so I will go back and update this with pics next time I go

I have 2 boys under 4- one of which has some sensory issues so new places can freak him out and the other one, master 2 is a handful at the best of times.

SO here are my TOP 10 Reasons Why you should VISIT outback Jacks!

1. Outback Jacks Aspley has a crocodile on the ceiling

There is a crocodile on the ceiling and the kids can drink from a crocodile cup like thing. This was important to me because my little sensory child was immediately made to feel comfortable by the 10+ foot croc on the ceiling and I think he fell in love once he was served a drink in a crocodile dispenser

2. Outback Jacks Aspley has an amazing kids area

Their kids area. With 5 playstation console areas it is the only place that I have been to where they all work! Varying games on all of them. In addition they have a big tv on the wall and a huge chalkboard for the kids to go crazy. Best of ALL the whole thing is in a room, with a glass wall (open) but also separated enough to everyone is not annoyed by the ruckus. I LOVE that I can sit at a table and watch my kids having fun while I eat a good meal and unlike other places where I have eaten with kids there is no real reason for them to want to leave that room except to eat.. It is a nice open, clean space and it feels like they are right next to you. Also all kids get a free colouring book when they come into any Outback Jacks store with a tin of coloured pencils on the table.

3. Outback Jacks Aspley has more parents than not!

There are lots of other kids there- we went on a kids eat free night and one that wasn’t and both nights we felt like we were the ‘norm’.. LOVE THAT!!

4. Outback Jacks Aspley has awesome service!

The service. I have not once being anything but completely thrilled with the service, not only on the ball, always asking to serve kids meals with entrée but also really knowing about their food. By the end of our order we learnt all about different types of chilli, sauces on ribs and their homemade onion rings. They also check you are happy throughout the meal and I like that, because my husband always drinks lots of drinks with dinner and it is nice to not hear him complain that he cant get one.

5. Outback Jacks Aspley has 2 kids eat free nights

Kids eat free on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and they often have similar deals on school holidays. This means icecream for desert too. They also have a variety of other non kid related deals on other nights

6. Outback Jacks Aspley has a HUGE menu

There menu is HUGE- it literally has pages and pages of food. Varying prices so you can treat yourself  or go budget with a yummy burger… (My dad was paying this night so I ordered a Wagyu Burger and it was the most amazing burger I have ever ever had!!!) The menu has pasta, burgers, steak, fish lots of exotic type meats- really something for everyone! There kids menu is decent with about 5 (if I can remember) things to choose from. Here an outbacks jacks menu

7. Outback Jacks Aspley has a great atmosphere

The atmosphere. It feels very welcoming, from the background music, the friendly staff, the open style restaurant to the well presented food.

8. Outback Jacks Aspley have lots of yummy drinks

They are licensed. Ok.. not essential, but I like that there is a mini cellar, you can get some cocktails and have moment with your husband, a margarita never tasted so good with a bowl of chilli according to my dad. They also have an array of non alcoholic beverages like yummy iced chocolates.

9. Outback Jacks Aspley has awesome ribs

I love ribs- and while they still aren’t as good as mine they do come pretty close- if you like them sweet go the plum, if you like them a little more sticky and salty go the BBQ

10. Outback Jacks Aspley is convenient

LOTS of parking- park underneath the shopping centre- walk straight up the escalators- you will literally never

So there you have it- you can tell I like Out Back Jacks- and that’s cause I don’t really go out that often and when we do we generally have to take the Brisbane Kids. I don’t mind that because when I go to less child friendly places I find I walk away more stressed then when I arrived. Outbacks Jacks is made for parents with kids and the food and service is not compromised by this quality (which I find so often elsewhere). It is now in our top 5 places to go with kids for dinner for all of the 10 reasons listed above. Good on you outback Jacks- about time someone realised that parents are people too.

They are located at Aspley Village, 605 Robinson Rd, Aspley Queensland 4034. Phone 32633222
