Tara Morrissey Paradise resort @ surfers is kind of generic but my kids love it and it’s cheap! We love currumbin sands resort it is really well priced, has three heated pools and is on absolute beachfront!! It is also right beside the pirate park. And from another mum Paradise Resort at Gold Coast. New Aqua Park is now open and it’s huge. And love the 4 hours included kids club..not many places will take under 4, but they have a seperate kids club for 0 to 2 yrs. My daughter loved it…and we got to go out for dinner. Seaworld Nara is great of course – kids club is only for kids 4+ though which kinda sucks:( it’s also pretty expensive at times but having cuddles with Elmo and grover at the breaky buffet make it special!

We absolutely lovehttp://www.goldcoasttouristparks.com.au/park/broadwater You can camp/caravan, cabin or villa for the night or more & it is right on the water opposite sea world. We love it sooooo much we have returned every year for the past 10 yrs. And, from another Mum, we go to broadwater tourist park every year. We stay in the cabins. Right on the water great for little kids. Shopping centre near by for supplies. Mcdonalds across the road

Turtle Beach Resort
Turtle Beach Resort in Gold Coast should be considered one of the great QLD family friendly holiday destinations! Definitely recommend the wood-fired pizza! And from another Mum it was fabulous both for my 4 year old and 15 year old. Next to the woodfired pizza was a complimentary movie theatre so the kids could watch a movie while you had dinner or a few drinks! It was fabulous! (only one thing – check to see which floor you are on – we were on the 2nd floor which was fine for us – but not if you have a baby!)

Fraser Lodge Holiday Park at Hervey Bay. Cabins are great, walking distance to the beach, playground, tennis court and two swimming pools. Happy kids, happy holiday!

Girraween Environmental Lodge is right next door to the National park for non campers! They are family friendly and have a pool and lots of short walks. Shops close by for top ups. self catering a fave in our family.

Jacaranda Cottages
Carla Mason We recently had a 3 day break at Jacaranda Cottages just outside Maleny. A selection of holiday houses/cottages to choose from and the people are super friendly and helpful. A short distance to Australia Zoo and the Sunshine Coast. It is on a property and the kids are allowed to roam around the property. The houses are well kited out and the one we stayed in had a highchair, cot, and lego!!! Would def stay there again!!

Caloundra – bulcock beach and happy valley. We stay at waterview resort. Everything in walking distance and not overcrowded. My kids are 4 and almost 2 we go every Christmas. For camping Boreen Point at Lake Cootharaba is great. There are also holiday houses to let and a great pub.

Twin waters resort on sunshine coast, the grand mecure apt there are awesome as are the facilities at the novotel , it’s all in same resort..And, from another mum Also agree with Twin Waters we’ve been there so many times over the years, great facilities like kayaking, bike hire, water trampoline, pools etc

A range of houses at affordable prices makes this a lovely destination for Brisbane families. We managed to get a house for 6 in Sept school holidays, 300m from the beach for $750- including TV, washing machine and dryer.

The retreat beach houses
The retreat beach houses, peregian beach is great for a family holiday. Self contained beach houses, no roads to cross to the beach, awesome restaurants at the village and a lagoon style pool great for toddlers
They also have beach toys, games and movies to borrow which makes it all a bit easier. Not as cheap as some of the stuff on the Goldie but when you factor in space and the ability to cook all your own meals its a dead winner for us.

Kurrimine beach caravan and holiday park
We went up north in may with our then 22month old and 7month old. We stayed at kurrimine beach caravan and holiday park. It was fantastic. They have an outdoor play ground suitable for crawling bubs up to older kids, a giant jumping pillow which both ours loved, an indoor games, blocks and art room, pool, onsite shop with some essentials and foods,and outside undercover movie and bbq area. They have caravan, camping and cabins. 200m walk to the beach. It was great and the perfect time of the year to visit, we are planning on making it our holiday destination as often as possible!

Gympie Terrace at Noosaville
We LOVE to stay on Gympie Terrace at Noosaville, it’s perfect for kids and parents, great river for kids to swim and play in, with plenty of shade (trees) no big waves, which we love. Excellent park which goes for ages with walking/bike pathes, playgrounds. Then theres the amazing restaurants and great takeaways. Not to far to the beach at Noosa, more shopping and nature walks. So much to do, we love it!!!!

Princess Palms at Palm Beach
Princess Palms at Palm Beach is fabulous. Hotel has pool, tennis court, small kids park and fabulous views if the beach. Best of all no road to cross to get to beach, river, pirate park or the brilliant child friendly cafe which are all a 30 second walk out the back gate. Also staff at hotel could not have been more friendly
