At Tra-La-La Creative Arts we create a world for children to have fun and play, and learn along the way! Our Kindermusik classes (for newborn to 3 year olds) feature a child-centred music and movement program, in which a child’s development is encouraged and nurtured through the use of song, dance and fun activities. We focus on the “whole child” and help them to learn many valuable lifelong skills. Kindermusik classes provide a safe, comfortable environment in which you and your child can bond and share some magical, musical moments.
Kindermusik Village class is for newborns to 18 month old children. Each term (9 weeks) we have a theme which all the
activities and songs are based around. Every family will receive a Home Materials kit (include in tuition cost) which includes a CD with all the music from class, art banners, a book and an instrument. A wide variety of music will be heard: from well-known nursery rhymes to music from around the world. The activities are tailored to your child’s age, so that each child is participating in a developmentally appropriate way. Watching your baby grow and change with their Kindermusik classes is just magical!
Kindermusik “Our Time” class is for 1.5 to 3 year olds. Each theme runs for a semester (18 weeks) and the Home Materials kit for each theme includes a Home Activity book, a double CD with the music from class, two music and movement books, an instrument and a Kindermusik carry bag. Together, we will encourage the children to be creative, to initiate their own ideas and to respond in their own ways to activities. They’ll uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communication skills. Rituals and repetition in each class create an atmosphere for shy and confident children (and parents) to feel included.
Once enrolled in our Kindermusik classes, you will also receive a special login to play.kindermusik.com where you can download the music for class, for free, at any time. Great to put on your iPod, mp3 player or phone so you and your child can listen, sing and dance wherever you go!
The benefits of Kindermusik extend to the parents as well. You will be given a ‘toolbox’ of ideas to take home – ways to incorporate music into each day (and why it’s a good idea to do so) and activities and games that can be done virtually anywhere. The classes also provide a great platform for you to connect and socialise with other parents.
Classes will be held at the Clearview Centre, in Seven Hills (near Morningside, Norman Park and Camp Hill). There is offstreet parking, space to leave prams inside, newly renovated facilities and the rooms have air conditioning.
