Explore Brisbane’s picturesque riverside destinations with the CityHopper ferry service, which provides complimentary travel between eight popular inner city stops. This allows both locals and visitors to uncover the full array of experiences Brisbane has to offer.
Travelling on the CityHopper
The CityHopper is a convenient, free ferry service along the picturesque Brisbane River. Travellers can hop on or off at any of the eight stops situated between North Quay and Sydney Street, New Farm.
The service is available every 36 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to midnight, ensuring a frequent and reliable mode of transport for Brisbane’s popular cross-river travel.
CityHopper journeys take place on the KittyCats. Smaller than the CityCats, the KittyCat catamarans can carry up to 60 passengers each, offering a convenient and enjoyable way to access significant areas in the inner city. There is seating and standing room inside the KittyCat, along with additional seating at the back of the ferry, which is a small open-air deck.
The CityHopper is a neat way to spend a day in Brisbane City. You can hop on and off at various attractions on both sides of the river, taking in the beautiful sights and enjoying the gentle cruise along the water. It’s a distinctive way to see the best of Brisbane while soaking in the scenic views from a unique vantage point.
Accessibility on the CityHopper
While CityCat ferries are accessible, with four designated spaces for wheelchairs and mobility scooters on each vessel, unfortunately the CityHopper and Cross River Ferry services do not provide accessibility.
