This exciting initiative features art-making experiences developed in collaboration with artists from across Asia and the Pacific\, encouraging young visitors to explore different cultural perspectives through creativity. \nNo bookings are required\, and all activities are free to attend. Redcliffe Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday\, 10am to 4pm. \nChildren can engage in activities such as designing intricate patterns inspired by Saudi Arabian and Palestinian artist Dana Awartani\, drawing imaginative monsters with Malaysian artist Harold Egn Eswar\, and reflecting on their dreams for the future through a project by Cambodian artist Yim Maline. DESCRIPTION:Miniature Railway Public Day – Nambour\nVisitors can enjoy a ride on the miniature railway in Nambour\, with trains powered by steam\, battery\, and petrol engines traveling nearly 1 km of track through the park.\nTrain rides are available every fourth Sunday of the month. \nVolunteers bring their own miniature locomotives to the track to allow the public to ride on the trains. The Club also owns steam and electric locomotives and many passenger carriages. \nDrinks and a sausage sizzle are available\, making it a great day out for little train enthusiasts. DESCRIPTION:Bracken Ridge Lion’s Train Day\n4th Sunday of the month \nThe Bracken Ridge Lion’s Train Day trains run on the 4th Sunday of each month in McPherson Park\, Bracken Ridge from 9.00am until 1.00pm at a cost of $2 a ride or 10 rides for $15. \n\nThe Bracken Ridge Central Steam/Electric Railway is proudly run and operated by the Bracken Ridge Central Lions Club\, with all proceeds going back to the community. In the past\, funds have been donated to the Premier’s Flood Relief Fund\, Lions Club Foundation\, Childhood Cancer Institute\, Scouts Australia\, Qld Police Sandgate Bike Squad\, Sandbag Sandgate\, local School Bursaries and School Chaplaincy programs.\n\n \nAnd as a special treat this week\, enjoy live music from Ormiston Heritage Pipes and Drums\, performing as part of Brisbane City Council’s Bands in Parks program.
