This exciting initiative features art-making experiences developed in collaboration with artists from across Asia and the Pacific\, encouraging young visitors to explore different cultural perspectives through creativity. \nNo bookings are required\, and all activities are free to attend. Redcliffe Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday\, 10am to 4pm. \nChildren can engage in activities such as designing intricate patterns inspired by Saudi Arabian and Palestinian artist Dana Awartani\, drawing imaginative monsters with Malaysian artist Harold Egn Eswar\, and reflecting on their dreams for the future through a project by Cambodian artist Yim Maline. This second annual Brisbane event\, held over Mother’s Day weekend\, will feature an exciting mix of new artists\, emerging talent\, interactive exhibitions\, and live painting experiences. \nAmong the highlights is the Children’s Art Studio\, an immersive\, family-friendly space designed by Brisbane artist\, children’s author\, and mum\, Tenyka Jay. This interactive area\, set to appear at all three Australian fairs (QLD\, NSW\, VIC)\, will feature artist-designed colouring activities\, a seven-metre hand-painted mural\, free face painting\, and watercolour whales\, inspiring young minds to explore creativity through art and storytelling. \nThe 2025 Fair will also spotlight First Nations art\, featuring works from talented artists including Lauren Rogers (Ngarabul\, Torres Strait Islander)\, Nikita Newley (Wuthathi-Darumbal)\, Chloe Watego (Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi)\, and Nathan Rodgers-Falk (Ngemba\, Murrawarri\, Wiradjuri). Parents and friends can then catch up over a complimentary tea or coffee in The Hut Environmental Centre while the kids engage in a fun nature-based learning activity indoors to wrap up the event. \nOn THECA Forest Family Sundays we encourage you and your family and friends to become Nature Enthusiasts and follow your curiosity to bring out your inner scientist as you question and wonder about the world around you.
