DESCRIPTION:Kalbar Sunflower Festival 2026\nNOTE: This event has sold out for 2026 \nTickets often sell out\, so make sure you’re signed up to their mailing list to be the first to know. \nNestled in the heart of the picturesque Scenic Rim Region you will find us amongst the million sunflowers at our annual Kalbar Sunflower Festival. In 2021\, Lucerne farmers Jenny and Russell Jenner were struggling to keep their crops alive during one of the longest droughts in living memory. Water had gotten so bad that they couldn’t grow their main crop\, but after Russell brought a bunch of sunflowers home from the grocery store the two had a light bulb moment. \nSunflowers need very little water and they look spectacular and from there the festival grew. \n\nThe annual Kalbar Sunflower Festival is back with a whopping one million sunflowers\, fine food\, and a touch of photography.\nTaking place in May 2026\, these golden beauties will bloom once again and be a picture-perfect canvas for a huge program of fun-filled events. \n\n\nThis super popular event includes:\n🌻walking amongst the sunflowers\n🌻finding your way through the amazing 4 acre sunflower maze\n🌻live entertainment\n🌻exploring the sunflower-themed market stalls\n🌻pick your own bunch of sunflowers\n🌻yoga\n🌻kids activities\n🌻art classes\n🌻 plus lots more\n\n\n\nTickets will be on sale from early March. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook  for updates on when tickets will go live. Run don’t walk as they will sell out very quickly.\n\nExperiences and Special Events\n\nSunflowers are available to Pick your Own for $2 a stem. \nParking \nParking is free\, please follow the traffic controllers down Warumkarie Road and enter our 16 acre parking area\, there will be attendants to show you where to park. \nDisability Access \nThe venue provides a designated Disability Parking Area near the main entrance within the car park. Friendly car park attendants are available to assist and direct visitors to the appropriate parking spots.\nBuggies are also available to transport elderly visitors or those with mobility challenges to the main area. Two buggies will be operating throughout most of the day\, and assistance can be requested upon arrival.\nPathways consist of gravel\, grass\, or dirt but remain easy to navigate in dry weather. The site will feature four disability-accessible toilets and a special wheelchair viewing area for added convenience. \nFirst Aid/Lost Property \nWe have a special tent marked on our festival map for first aid\, lost property and mothers feeding/changing area.\nQualified nursing staff on are hand at all times. If you are allergic to bees please bring any medication you normally use. \n\nDogs \nYou can bring your furry friend but must be on a lead and well behaved. Please make sure you take home all droppings from the farm. Please do not drop in the carpark area on your way out or this jeopardises dogs being allowed at future festivals. Please respect our farm and other visitors. \nAccommodation \nA list of local accommodation and camping facilities on the website this is being updated frequently. There are many amazing places to stay whilst you are visiting the Scenic Rim.
