Founded by Jim and Jane Henson in 1955\, the company gave us the Muppets\, Sesame Street\, Fraggle Rock\, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth\, and they are still leading the way in puppetry today. \nWhat kids will see\nHundreds of objects fill the space\, including real puppets\, animatronic creatures\, props\, costumes\, original drawings and clips from the screen. Kids get to see the journey from hand-made puppets right through to today’s animatronics and digital wizardry\, and learn how creature designers dream up a character from scratch. \nThe showstopper is a world first. It is an educational and engaging local outing for kids and history enthusiasts alike. \nBrisbane Transport Museum Open Days 2026\nThe Brisbane Transport Museum\, located at 600 Mains Road\, Nathan\, is home to the largest display of heritage buses and coaches in Queensland with a current fleet of vehicles spanning from 1938 to 1996 models. The majority of these buses operated for Brisbane City Council and form a significant part of Brisbane’s transport heritage. \nThe Museum possesses a large collection of rare photos and industry memorabilia that represent over a century of passenger transport history.
