DESCRIPTION:Brisbane’s bayside will shimmer with festive excitement this summer as Wynnum Wonderland makes its debut\, bringing a vibrant program of music\, comedy\, cabaret and circus to Bay Terrace from 28 November to 22 December 2025. \nCreated by Tom Oliver Productions – the team behind Wynnum Fringe – in partnership with Trigger Happy Productions and Head First Acrobats\, the new event promises the same blend of world-class entertainment and local flavour that has cemented the bayside as a cultural hotspot. At its centre sits the historic 380-seat Augathella Spiegeltent\, a striking fusion of Belgian craftsmanship and Queensland heritage\, freshly relocated to Wynnum. \nThe program spans cheeky late-night cabaret\, laugh-out-loud comedy and family-friendly spectacles. Highlights include the adults-only Cirque Du Sleigh\, comedy favourite Dave “Hughesy” Hughes\, the award-winning Bubble Show in Space\, and high-energy All Star Circus. Science spectacular KABOOM returns with a festive twist\, while Carols in the Spiegeltent and the community-led Wynnum Wonderland Choir will fill the tent with Christmas classics including a Wynnum remake of ‘Winter Wonderland’. \nThe season rounds out with groove-heavy live band The Guides\, delivering a feel-good finale to a month of festivities. Residents are invited to arrive in their best Christmas outfits and enjoy an afternoon filled with community connection\, entertainment and plenty of holiday cheer. \nThe event features a packed program showcasing talented local performers of all ages\, supported by a full stage setup complete with lighting and AV. Decorations are ready\, food trucks will be serving favourites such as Vietnamese dishes\, pizza\, gelato\, donuts and more\, and local Scouts will be firing up the barbecue while the Guides host a Christmas cookie-decorating station. Face painters will be on site adding festive flair\, and a low-sensory chill zone with beanbags will be available for anyone needing a quieter moment. \nFamilies can look forward to a live Nativity play open to all children\, a Santa letterbox and craft area\, an Instax photobooth\, raffle prizes\, and slushies served for a gold-coin donation. Santa will even make a special appearance in a Golden Cadillac.
