DESCRIPTION:Zero Waste Week @ CREEC\nZero Waste Week at Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre offers a full week of eco-friendly and nature-based activities in the lead up to the International Day of Zero Waste. The program invites the community to explore practical ways to reduce waste while enjoying hands-on experiences in a natural setting. With activities designed for a range of ages and interests\, it is an ideal outing for families\, individuals\, and anyone keen to learn more about sustainable living. \nAcross the week\, visitors can take part in a variety of themed sessions: \nTuesday features eco-craft activities focused on upcycling materials and reducing landfill\, offering a creative and practical introduction to sustainability. \nWednesday welcomes upcycling expert Tegan from SendOn\, who shares how retired climbing gear is transformed into functional everyday items. Participants will create and take home a macrame bracelet made from inner rope core. Bookings are essential\, with the session recommended for adults and children aged 12 and over. \nThursday invites participants to roll up their sleeves for a ranger-led Bushcare experience\, helping to maintain rainforest walking tracks while learning about local conservation efforts. Suitable for ages 6 and up\, with all equipment provided. \nFriday brings a fun and interactive close to the week\, with a waste education van on site offering tips\, challenges\, and prizes.
