Participants can meet conservation detection dogs and enjoy a guided nature walk through the park. \nEchidna Workshop – Samford Conservation Park\nDiscover the secret world of the short-beaked echidna with wildlife ecologist Dr Kate Dutton-Regester at Samford Conservation Park. \nThis hands-on workshop covers echidna ecology and teaches participants how to identify signs of echidna activity in the field\, including scats\, tracks and diggings. Observations made on the day can also be contributed to EchidnaWatch\, helping researchers better understand echidna distribution\, behaviour and habitat use across Queensland. \nParticipants will also get to meet Jayda and Jarrah\, conservation detection dogs\, and learn how trained dogs are used to support wildlife research on the ground. \nThe workshop begins with a presentation before heading outdoors for a guided walk.
