DESCRIPTION:Discover inspiring outdoor artwork at the Brisbane Sculpture Festival starting this August 2026. Held at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens\, this event showcases incredible works from local artists. It offers Brisbane kids and parents a wonderful opportunity to explore a scenic sculpture trail and enjoy hands-on art demonstrations together. \nBrisbane Sculpture Festival 2026\nMt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens will come alive with creativity as the Brisbane Sculpture Festival returns\, turning the gardens into an inspiring outdoor gallery the whole family can enjoy. \nPresented by Sculptors Queensland\, the free event features both indoor and outdoor exhibitions showcasing works by some of Queensland’s most prominent sculptors\, from bold and contemporary to whimsical and thought-provoking. Every piece is available for purchase\, and visitors are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice award for their favourites. A gold coin donation or raffle ticket purchase is appreciated. \nThe indoor exhibition is held at the Mt Coot-tha Auditorium from 1st to 9th August (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, where visitors can view works up close and speak directly with the sculptors. \nThe outdoor sculpture trail winds through the beautiful botanic gardens from 1st August to 30th October (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, with sculptures of all shapes and sizes tucked among the greenery. \nSculpture demonstrations will be held on selected dates throughout the festival\, and small group tours of the outdoor trail are available by appointment. Featuring an exclusive soundtrack from The Veronicas\, lasers\, and 80-metre water jets\, this South Bank spectacle offers local parents and kids an unforgettable\, family-friendly evening out. \nBright Nights by ANZ\nA rock-pop show of water\, light\, and sound. \nFeaturing an exclusive soundtrack from Brisbane music royalty The Veronicas\, Bright Nights by ANZ turns the Brisbane River into a dazzling display of water\, light\, and sound. Floating fountains\, waterscreens\, moving water features\, and water jets shooting up to 80 metres high are lit up by a stunning laser show\, filling the Festival Village precinct with colour and energy. \nThe show has a real local feel\, adding extra emotion and a modern touch. \nIt starts with a Welcome to Country and a story about the local area\, told by Traditional Owner Yuggera and Turrbal man Shannon Ruska. Bright Nights by ANZ is a nightly celebration of Brisbane and its river. \nYou can enjoy this free\, 15-minute show with family and friends from the bridges or either side of the Brisbane River. For the best view\, head to Festival Village at Clem Jones Promenade\, South Bank. Free shows run three times a night throughout the festival\, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
