Every piece is available for purchase\, and visitors are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice award for their favourites. A gold coin donation or raffle ticket purchase is appreciated. \nThe indoor exhibition is held at the Mt Coot-tha Auditorium from 1st to 9th August (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, where visitors can view works up close and speak directly with the sculptors. \nThe outdoor sculpture trail winds through the beautiful botanic gardens from 1st August to 30th October (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, with sculptures of all shapes and sizes tucked among the greenery. \nSculpture demonstrations will be held on selected dates throughout the festival\, and small group tours of the outdoor trail are available by appointment. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate classic surf culture at the Surf Show & Shine Sunshine Coast this September 2026. Held at Mooloolaba State School\, this community event features a display of up to 100 Kombis and Beetles\, live bands\, street food\, and fun kids’ activities\, offering families a great coastal day out. \nSurf Show & Shine Sunshine Coast\nPresented by the Rotary Club of Alexandra Headland and Cricks Volkswagen Sunshine Coast\, Surf Show & Shine is a celebration of Kombis\, VWs and classic surf culture on the Sunshine Coast. \nThe event features a VW show with up to 100 Kombis and Beetles on display\, with Best in Show and People’s Choice Awards up for grabs. Saturday night kicks things off with a Kombi parade\, overnight camping\, and a BBQ\, before Sunday brings a full day of live local bands from 8am to 2:30pm\, street food\, kids’ activities\, and Kombi\, VW and surf merchandise for sale. \nEarly registration comes with a bonus t-shirt. \nThe main event is held on Sunday 27th September at Mooloolaba School Oval. This free beachfront event features family-friendly films under the stars\, a spectacular 8pm fireworks show\, and easy takeaway dining options. \nFlicks & Fireworks Surfers Paradise\nMovie on the beach\, fireworks over the ocean\, this is the new last-Sunday-of-the-month night out in Surfers Paradise. \nFlicks & Fireworks is a brand-new Surfers Paradise program\, bringing movies to the beach and fireworks to the sky on the last Sunday of the month. Families and friends are invited to bring a picnic blanket and settle in on the sand for a movie under the stars\, with a spectacular fireworks display over the ocean at 8pm. \nThe best part? The movie doesn’t end when the fireworks begin. There’ll be a short intermission to enjoy the fireworks over the ocean\, before settling back in to finish the movie. \nTake a picnic blanket or low-backed chair\, grab some takeaway and make a night of it.
