Every piece is available for purchase\, and visitors are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice award for their favourites. A gold coin donation or raffle ticket purchase is appreciated. \nThe indoor exhibition is held at the Mt Coot-tha Auditorium from 1st to 9th August (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, where visitors can view works up close and speak directly with the sculptors. \nThe outdoor sculpture trail winds through the beautiful botanic gardens from 1st August to 30th October (open daily 10am to 4pm)\, with sculptures of all shapes and sizes tucked among the greenery. \nSculpture demonstrations will be held on selected dates throughout the festival\, and small group tours of the outdoor trail are available by appointment. A wildlife expert will lead a hands-on session in nature\, giving visitors the chance to meet some of Brisbane’s most iconic animals and learn what makes them special\, how they live\, and the role they play in local ecosystems. \nLearning more about native species can help people make simple changes\, like planting native vegetation or keeping pets indoors at night\, that protect Brisbane’s wildlife and help it thrive. \nVisitors should arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in at the centre\, and children must be with an adult at all times. As parts of the session may be outdoors\, it’s a good idea to wear a hat\, sun-safe clothing and fully enclosed shoes\, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent. There are no food outlets on site\, so bring water and a snack too. \nSuitable for ages 6 and over.
