But don’t worry\, the rain can’t wash away all the fun!\nDue to the weather\, Hills Carnivale will look a little bit different this Saturday\, with rides unfortunately no longer able to operate and an adjusted layout. More information here \nHills Carnivale brings to a close four weeks of incredible events as part of the Hills Festival. The free entry event at George Willmore Park runs from 12pm to 7pm and features entertainment across two stages\, including a dedicated Kids Stage and a Main Stage with performances throughout the day. \nFood and beverage vendors\, market stalls\, and free activities will be on offer\, with amusement rides available for $2 per ride. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks\, chairs\, and picnic rugs. Please note this is an alcohol and glass free event\, and a water bottle filling station will be available on site. \nDogs are welcome on a lead\, though owners are asked to pick up after their pets and have them off site before the 7pm fireworks display. \nParking is limited to street parking\, so attendees are encouraged to take public transport (train to Ferny Grove Station\, then a 10 minute walk) or walk if nearby. A drop-off and pick-up zone is available on Bundar Crescent. \nThe event will proceed in light rain\, though program elements may be adjusted if weather creates a safety concern. Bookings are required for the timed entry sessions. \nNavy Open Day 2026\nHMAS Moreton opens its doors to the public to celebrate Navy 125\, welcoming HMAS Brisbane alongside for a fantastic day of family-friendly activities. Visitors can explore Defence attractions\, browse supporting agency stalls\, enjoy a sausage sizzle\, face painting\, and entertainment from the RAN Band Queensland throughout the day. \nThe event runs in one-hour sessions and bookings are required. Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes before their selected time slot to allow for coach transfer from the parking area to the wharf. Parking is available on Bishop Drive between Port Drive and Lucinda Drive\, with coaches running between the car park and wharf entry point.
