DESCRIPTION:Get into the spooky spirit this October 2026 at Halloween at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Fig Tree Pocket\, Brisbane. Local families and kids can dance the night away at the kids disco\, enjoy creepy carnival performers and face painting\, enter the dress-up competition\, and explore guided nocturnal wildlife tours. \n\n\nHalloween at Lone Pine 2026\nFamilies can get into the Halloween spirit at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with a kids disco and special nocturnal tours on Saturday 31 October. \nThe evening is full of spooky fun\, with roving creepy carnival performers\, face painting\, a dress-up competition and free trick or treat bags for the kids. DJ Brad from Activ8 Kids Entertainment will take over with a Halloween disco\, while food trucks and the Riverside Cafe will serve food and drinks throughout the evening. \nFor Halloween only\, the sanctuary is also running two guided nocturnal tours\, including a later night tour through the nocturnal precinct. SUMMARY:OPA! A New Greek Festival on the Gold Coast
DESCRIPTION:Savor authentic Mediterranean flavors at the Gold Coast Greek Festival at HOTA in Surfers Paradise this October and November 2026. This festive weekend features traditional dishes\, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations\, lively traditional dance lessons\, fun activities for kids\, and a spectacular Saturday night fireworks display over Evandale Lake. \nGreek Festival on the Gold Coast\nThe Gold Coast Greek Festival brings two days of Greek food\, music\, dancing and culture to HOTA\, Home of the Arts\, on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026. It’s a day out for the whole family\, whether you’re Greek\, Greek at heart\, or just love good food and a bit of fun. \nGreek community groups will serve traditional family recipes\, along with Greek sweets\, ice cream\, coffee and other favourites. Celebrity chefs Vikki Moursellas and Anna Polyviou (joined by her mum\, Gina) will share cooking tips and family recipes in the Lakeside Room across the weekend. \nThere’s plenty for families to join in on\, with live music from the Glendi Band and grEchoes\, Greek and Cypriot dance groups\, and dancing lessons for all ages. Visitors can show off their new moves in a best-dancing competition or try the plate smashing competition. Kids’ activities are also on offer. \nSaturday night finishes with fireworks over Evandale Lake. \nThe festival was started by George Mastrocostas\, Honorary Consul-General of Greece in Queensland\, and brings together Greek community organisations from across Queensland.
