Kids can bounce on the jumping castle\, visit the animal petting zoo\, get their faces painted\, and check out classic cars\, while parents browse local craft stalls\, council displays\, and grab a sausage sizzle courtesy of the Scouts. The Coastal Discovery Van\, Ambulance display\, and Heritage Library will also be on show\, alongside live tunes from Ol’Daze and a very welcome ice cream van. \nAs part of the celebrations\, the museum will unveil its brand new exhibition “Grassroots to Glory: Around the Track” exploring the region’s rich and colourful local sporting history. DESCRIPTION:Miniature Railway Public Day – Nambour\nVisitors can enjoy a ride on the miniature railway in Nambour\, with trains powered by steam\, battery\, and petrol engines traveling nearly 1 km of track through the park.\nTrain rides are available every fourth Sunday of the month. \nVolunteers bring their own miniature locomotives to the track to allow the public to ride on the trains. The Club also owns steam and electric locomotives and many passenger carriages. \nDrinks and a sausage sizzle are available\, making it a great day out for little train enthusiasts. There are also plenty of roving entertainers to keep the kids smiling\, such as stilt walkers\, the Bubble Fairy\, and lively puppet shows that bring laughter to the crowds throughout the day. \nCreativity is at the centre of the event with numerous workshops and interactive stalls. Children can try their hand at making their own puppets\, creating bush critters\, or building a rainforest in a jar with local authors and educators. The event also hosts an art exhibition and various craft projects led by community groups\, ensuring there is something to inspire everyone who attends. \nIn addition to the arts\, the day features educational displays from environmental organisations\, wildlife volunteers\, and emergency services. DESCRIPTION:Beachfest – Caloundra\nBeachfest is a popular annual celebration of classic cars\, rock ’n’ roll and coastal community spirit\, held in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. The multi-day festival brings together hot rod\, custom and classic vehicle enthusiasts from across Australia and beyond\, transforming the town into a hub of motoring and music culture. \nAcross the event\, visitors can enjoy car cruises through the Sunshine Coast\, live music and street entertainment\, street party experiences\, and large-scale Show n Shine displays featuring hundreds of restored and custom vehicles. Merchandise stalls and local traders add to the festival atmosphere\, while food vendors line the streets for a relaxed day out. \nIn previous years\, the program has included evening street parties\, supercruise parades\, Show n Shine car show days and special feature events\, with the Caloundra CBD and Esplanade forming the main event precincts.
