DESCRIPTION:New Years Eve @ Mooloolaba\nCelebrate the arrival of 2024 at a family-friendly community event on Mooloolaba Esplanade. Running from 5pm to 10pm\, this vibrant evening features roving entertainment\, face painting\, and delicious food trucks\, all leading up to a spectacular fireworks display at 8:30pm. \nFireworks Viewing\nThe fireworks will light up the sky in grand style\, visible from Cotton Tree in the north to La Balsa in the south. For those further afield\, additional displays will take place at Coolum and Caloundra\, also at 8:30pm. Note that there will be no midnight fireworks at Sunshine Coast locations. \nEvent Guidelines\nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable experience\, the Mooloolaba celebration is a glass\, alcohol\, and drug-free event. Queensland Police and security staff will be on hand to manage access and maintain a welcoming environment for families. Pets are not permitted in the event zone. \nGetting There \nMake travel easy with a range of transport options: \nBike and Scooters: Free BikePark services will be available on River Esplanade and Mooloolaba Esplanade until the event concludes. Don’t forget your helmet and lights for the journey home.\nPark and Ride: Free shuttles will run from Chancellor State Secondary College in Sippy Downs to Alexandra Headland from 5pm to 11pm.\nPublic Transport: Use the Translink Journey Planner to plan your trip.\nTaxis and Rideshare: A dedicated Uber drop-off point is located at Alexandra Headland\, and the Mooloolaba taxi rank will be operational.\nFerry Service: The Mooloolaba Ferry will run between Kawana Waters and Mooloolaba. Check schedules at mooloolabaferry.com.au  \nDining Options: \nWhether grabbing a quick bite from food trucks or booking into a local restaurant\, there’s something for every appetite. DESCRIPTION:Miniature Railway Public Day – Nambour\nVisitors can enjoy a ride on the miniature railway in Nambour\, with trains powered by steam\, battery\, and petrol engines traveling nearly 1 km of track through the park.\nTrain rides are available every fourth Sunday of the month. \nVolunteers bring their own miniature locomotives to the track to allow the public to ride on the trains. The Club also owns steam and electric locomotives and many passenger carriages. \nDrinks and a sausage sizzle are available\, making it a great day out for little train enthusiasts.
