Margaret has been a maker in metal for more than two decades and exhibits regularly with the Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of Queensland. \nWhat is quantum science?\nQuantum physics is a science that studies how the tiniest things in the universe – like atoms and particles – behave\, and it turns out they act in very strange ways that don’t follow the usual rules of everyday life! \nWhat is World Quantum Day?\nWorld Quantum Day is an annual celebration promoting public awareness and understanding of quantum science and technology around the world. \nAbout QUBIC\nThe ARC Centre of Excellence in Quantum Biotechnology (QUBIC) is the first national Centre globally pioneering a new era of quantum-powered tools to explore and manipulate biology at the molecular level. We aim to create a unique\, vibrant\, multidisciplinary environment for transformational\, collaborative research at the very cutting edge. The Centre has nodes at The University of Queensland\, The University of Melbourne\, the University of Technology Sydney\, the University of Wollongong and Flinders University. We seek to drive fundamental knowledge and innovation across health\, energy and agriculture. Our research program develops quantum technologies that go far beyond what is possible today\, from portable brain imagers to superfast single protein sensors. \nPlan your visit\nWhen: Tuesday 14 April\, 2026; Session 1: 10am – 10:45am; Session 2: 11am – 11:45am \nWhere: Lab 207\, Building 7 Parnell Building\, University of Queensland\, St Lucia Campus \nCost: Free \nMore information here \n
