The collection offers a whimsical blend of flora\, pastel tones\, and shimmering details that capture the enchanting essence of the production. \nThe La Cenerentola costume display will be open to the public at Brisbane Quarter. DESCRIPTION:WONDER: Cloud Play @ HOTA\nWONDER 2025 delivers its biggest and boldest artwork to date with CLOUD PLAY by internationally renowned artist Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics. Presented exclusively in Australia\, this breathtaking kinetic sculpture is the centrepiece of this year’s festival and is on display at HOTA’s Outdoor Stage from 31st May to 13th July. \nSpanning 530 square metres\, CLOUD PLAY floats gracefully in the air\, evoking the fluid formations of a murmuration of birds or a school of fish. The sculpture moves with the wind\, serving as a mesmerising reminder of nature’s presence. Crafted from tens of thousands of shimmering ribbons\, the artwork incorporates personal reflections gathered from the Gold Coast community during the Sky Ribbons project in March. Each ribbon carries a message completing the sentence\, “I’m grateful to call the Gold Coast home because…”\, creating a dynamic expression of local gratitude and identity. \nAccompanying the visual experience is an original soundscape blending natural sounds with music and cultural knowledge. Created by Saltwater man Lann Levinge\, operatic baritone Jose Carbo\, and celebrated didgeridoo artist William Barton\, the soundscape adds depth and atmosphere to the installation. \nAfter dark\, CLOUD PLAY transforms as IKONIX illuminates the sculpture with light displays that respond to real-time wind data\, bringing the ribbons to life in a symphony of movement and colour. \nThis captivating installation is part of a broader program of free and ticketed events under WONDER\, running from Saturday 31st May to Saturday 21st June. DESCRIPTION:The Woodford Railway Heritage Train Rides\nSit in open air carriages and let the wind blow through your hair as you ride on a heritage train at the Woodford Railway. Friendly volunteers will greet you on the platform and help you board the train as well as share their are full of local knowledge and their passion for their beloved railway with you.  \nThe 15 minute journey allows you to sit back and breathe in the fresh country air and watch the horses in the paddocks as you drive by (alongside around 300 metres of housing development) \nThere is a small display room on the platform which you can wander around and learn more about the historical trains and carriages. There are also other long-standing carriages and tracks dotted around the grounds which are a reminder of a bygone era. \nTickets for the round-trip train ride can be purchased from the Ticket Office\, situated in the middle of the platform. Cold drinks and a variety of train books and memorabilia are available for purchase from the office. \n\nThe Woodford Railway Heritage Train Rides\nWhen: The Woodford Railway runs Heritage Train rides on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month. Rides starting at 10am and running until 3pm (generally stopping between 12:45 – 1.30pm for lunch). DESCRIPTION:End of Summer Party and Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs @ Cannon Hill \nThe rescheduled End of Summer Party and Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs is set to bring an afternoon and evening of fun for the whole family\, all while supporting local community groups. Proceeds from the event will benefit Cannon Hill State School P&C\, Cannon Hill Kindy\, YMCA Cannon Hill Community Centre\, and St Oliver Plunkett P&F. \nKicking off from 2pm to 5pm\, the event will feature live music\, roving entertainers\, market stalls\, and plenty of free activities for the kids\, including crazy hair and temporary tattoos. Food trucks\, a community-run bar\, sausage sizzle\, sweets and snow cones will all be on offer. For those looking for even more fun\, the $15 Unlimited Play Zone gives access to multiple jumping castles and three carnival games\, with wristbands available for pre-purchase and early collection through Cannon Hill Kindy. \nFrom 5pm\, families are invited to relax under the stars with a free screening of Trolls Band Together. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic rug\, Oodie or cosy blanket to settle in for the movie.
