DESCRIPTION:Olympics & Paralympics LIVE Site South Bank\nSouth Bank is thrilled to host Brisbane’s Olympics and Paralympics LIVE site for the Paris 2024 Games. \nNow for the Second Half – Brisbane’s Paris 2024 Paralympic Games LIVE SITE Kicks Off on August 29th at South Bank! Following the huge success of the Olympic Games celebration where more than 60\,000 people gathered to support Australia’s remarkable performance in Paris. Now\, it’s time to rally behind the 160 Australian athletes competing in the 2024 Paralympic Games. \nSouth Bank’s official LIVE Site will be the hub for sharing the excitement\, celebrating the medals\, and enjoying stories and entertainment on stage. With 160 athletes competing across 17 sports\, Queensland boasts the largest representation in the Australian team\, with 45 athletes making up nearly 30 percent of the squad. \nProudly presented in partnership with the Queensland Government\, the big screen will feature the live telecast from 5pm to 12 midnight throughout the Paralympic Games\, with daily sporting activities\, weekend activations and entertainment\, and onsite food trucks throughout the week and on weekends. \nThe live on-stage program\, with MC duties shared between 9’s Dan Anstey and Paralympian Karni Liddell\, supported by Pip Forbes\, will run every Friday\, Saturday and Sunday night from 6pm to 7pm. \nBrisbane’s LIVE Site at South Bank will offer a jam-packed event schedule including: \nFREE sporting activities from 7.30am to 10pm daily including table tennis\, soccer\, volleyball and badminton\, with special activations over weekends for everyone to get involved and try their hand at different sports including challenges with the Sporting Wheelies and Triathlon Australia.\nAthlete Interviews – during the Olympics\, Jeff Horn\, Duncan Armstrong\, Ji Wallace\, Caitlin Sargent and a host of other greats were interviewed on stage\, with more ready to share their stories and thoughts during the Paris Paralympics.\nLive music on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday evenings as part of an evening event hosted by either Dan Anstey or Karni Liddell\, that will include performances\, special guests and interviews.\nFood trucks offering wonderful dishes\, from fish and chips\, to Vietnamese\, Greek\, Chinese and desserts\, perfect to grab and sit along the Seine\, we mean Brisbane River (!)\, and enjoy the atmosphere!\nRoving performances to keep everyone entertained including French mime artists\, stilt performers\, face painting\, balloon artists\, comedy acts and musical performers. \nOlympics & Paralympics LIVE Site South Bank\nWhen:  29th August – 8th September 2024 Paralympics LIVE 5pm – midnight \nWhere: South Bank Cultural Forecourt\, Melbourne Street\, South Brisbane  \nCost: Free \nMore information: Olympics & Paralympics LIVE Site Southbank
