DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled due to wet weather \nJoin in the spooky fun at Spooktakular Saturday at Minnippi Parklands in Tingalpa this October 2026. Perfect for local Brisbane families\, this free community event features a kids Halloween disco\, live stage music\, face painting\, food trucks\, and costume contests for an exciting afternoon out in the park. \nSpooktakular Saturday @ Minnippi Parklands\nSpooktakular Saturday is back at Minnippi Parklands\, one of Doboy Ward’s favourite family events of the year. The afternoon is packed with Halloween fun\, live entertainment\, kids activities\, food trucks and costumes. \nThe main stage features live music\, children’s shows and the Queensland Services Heritage Marching Band. There is also a costume competition and a kids Halloween disco\, so costumes are encouraged. \nThe Kids Zone has plenty to explore\, including activities with Queensland Police\, a Brisbane City Council pop-up library\, a scavenger hunt and face painting. A professional photographer is on hand for free photos\, and families can snap spooky shots at the Haunted Garden photo booth. DESCRIPTION:End of Summer Party and Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs @ Cannon Hill \nThe rescheduled End of Summer Party and Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs is set to bring an afternoon and evening of fun for the whole family\, all while supporting local community groups. Proceeds from the event will benefit Cannon Hill State School P&C\, Cannon Hill Kindy\, YMCA Cannon Hill Community Centre\, and St Oliver Plunkett P&F. \nKicking off from 2pm to 5pm\, the event will feature live music\, roving entertainers\, market stalls\, and plenty of free activities for the kids\, including crazy hair and temporary tattoos. Food trucks\, a community-run bar\, sausage sizzle\, sweets and snow cones will all be on offer. For those looking for even more fun\, the $15 Unlimited Play Zone gives access to multiple jumping castles and three carnival games\, with wristbands available for pre-purchase and early collection through Cannon Hill Kindy. \nFrom 5pm\, families are invited to relax under the stars with a free screening of Trolls Band Together. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic rug\, Oodie or cosy blanket to settle in for the movie.
