With workshops\, kids’ activities\, market stalls\, and guided tours\, this is one of the Sunshine Coast’s must-attend cultural events of 2026. \nFirst Nations Family Fun Day 2026\nJoin Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Peoples for a vibrant day of culture\, stories\, and hands-on activities for all ages\, held in the stunning grounds of Bankfoot House as part of the Australian Heritage Festival. \nThroughout the day\, visitors can enjoy ochre painting\, bush foods tasting\, cooking demos\, storytelling\, market stalls\, food vans\, and guided tours of the historic Bankfoot House precinct. \nDon’t miss the Corroboree featuring a smoking ceremony\, traditional dance\, and didgeridoo performance.\nThe day’s program includes a Welcome to Country at 10am\, followed by the GATHAA First Nations Markets\, live music\, and spear throwing with TribalLink. Kids activities are available throughout the day with Sunshine Coast Biosphere and Libraries.\nAt 10:30am\, join My Dilly Bag for a Cook Up\, and at 11am head to a Paint Up session with Ocher Bee. At 12pm\, don’t miss the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Performance\, followed at 1pm by a Blak Botanics workshop (tickets $10).
