DESCRIPTION:Hunt for budget-friendly holiday reading this January 2027 at the iconic Lifeline Brisbane Bookfest and ComicFest\, returning to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Brisbane. Brisbane families and kids can enjoy free entry to explore over a million books\, collectible comics\, games\, and puzzles across wide\, pram-friendly aisles while supporting essential crisis services.\nLifeline Queensland \nLifeline Brisbane Bookfest & ComicFest 2027\nBookfest is back and bursting with books galore and so much more! Brisbane’s iconic and much-loved Bookfest returns with over a million books on sale\, plus the fantastic ComicFest\, filled with collectables\, comics\, cards\, computer console games and more. Entry is free\, and it’s fun for the whole family. \nWhat you’ll find \nHardback and paperback novels\, children’s books\, biographies\, crafts and hobbies\, sci-fi and fantasy\, history and Australiana\, games\, puzzles\, CDs\, magazines and stationery. \nHow it works \nThere are two halls with different pricing: the $2.50 section\, where all books are $2.50\, and the high-quality section\, where books are individually priced. There’s also a chill-out lounge for a sit-down and a read. \nLifeline Bookfests are held to raise funds for Lifeline Crisis Support Services\, which are free and available for anyone who needs them\, 24/7\, via phone on 13 11 14\, text on 0447 13 11 14 and online chat at lifeline.org.au. \nGood to know \n\nTrolleys are provided\, and Lifeline Enviro Bags are available for $1 each.\nWear comfortable shoes\, as it’s a massive event with plenty to explore.\nEFTPOS is preferred\, and cash is accepted.\nFood and drink are available to buy onsite.\nThe venue is fully indoors\, with wide aisles and flat access\, so it’s pram and wheelchair friendly.\nParking is available onsite\, and it’s easily accessible by bus and rail.\n\nPlan your visit\nWhen: (TBC) Saturday 16th January 2027: 7:30am to 6:00pm; 18th to 23rd January: 8:30am to 6:00pm; Sunday 24th January: 8:30am to 4:00pm \nWhere: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre\, Glenelg St\, South Brisbane 4101 \nCost: Lifeline’s Bookfest is FREE to enter.
