DESCRIPTION:Big Butterfly Count @ George Watson Park\, Moffat Beach\nThe Sunshine Coast community is invited to take part in a butterfly survey at George Watson Park\, contributing to a greater understanding of the species that inhabit this important botanical and eucalypt reserve. \nNo prior experience is needed\, as participants will join local BushCare groups to observe and identify butterflies while learning about their vital role in the environment. As part of Australian Pollinator Week\, this survey highlights the significance of butterflies as pollinators and indicators of environmental health. Their presence supports biodiversity\, providing food for birds and other wildlife while relying on native host plants to thrive. \nThe survey will take place along the park’s track network.
