Whether you are a seasoned gem enthusiast or simply curious about the world of lapidary\, there is plenty to discover. \nThe show features stalls showcasing lapidary equipment\, jewellery findings\, finished jewellery\, rough material slabs and specimens\, alongside live working demonstrations of gem cutting and silver and gold jewellery making. Members’ work will be on display throughout the day\, and competitions will be held for both open and novice classes. Kids can try their hand at fossicking\, and every paying entry receives two free raffle tickets with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be won. Food and drinks are available from the kitchen and barbecue. \nThe show is also a genuine opportunity to learn what lapidary is all about. Being able to create a piece of jewellery from something found in the ground is a deeply rewarding experience\, and club members will be on hand to walk visitors through the various aspects of the hobby and answer any questions.
