DESCRIPTION:Ipswich Art Gallery is glowing with creativity this school term\, with IAG Kids: LightPlay inviting little ones into a dazzling world where light becomes an element of discovery\, imagination\, and play. \nIAG Kids: LightPlay details\nStep into an immersive environment filled with light boxes\, overhead projectors\, torches\, and translucent materials. DESCRIPTION:IAG Kids x Slow Art Collective\nThis summer\, visitors are invited to explore a hands-on\, immersive exhibition where everyone is encouraged to participate. Using everyday repurposed materials\, they can be transported into new creative spaces. The focus is not on the final product\, but on the process of making\, offering a chance to slow down and engage deeply with the act of creation. \nThe interactive installation invites audiences of all ages to explore themes of creativity\, environmental sustainability\, DIY culture\, and collaboration. It embodies the concept of ‘slow art\,’ promoting meaningful exchanges over quick monetary transactions\, and fosters cultural absorption through community connections by creating something together. This practice blurs the boundary between artists and viewers\, offering an alternative approach to contemporary art that tackles real-world issues. \nThe exhibition is proudly presented by the Slow Art Collective\, featuring interdisciplinary artists Chaco Kato and Dylan Martorell. \nRecommended for ages 5-15\, although all ages encouraged to participate collaboratively. \nIAG Kids x Slow Art Collective\nWhen: Saturday 23rd November 2024 – Sunday 2nd February 2025\, 10am — 5pm.
