This free event supports a great cause by raising funds for those in need. \nThis year’s festival\, organised by the Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc. (UCQ)\, promises to be the biggest yet\, offering Queenslanders a day of cultural immersion at the Ukrainian Club Brisbane \nThe festival is a fantastic outing for families across Southeast Queensland\, featuring a rich cultural experience and activities for all ages. \nCultural Performances: Enjoy traditional Ukrainian music and folk dance performances by local ensembles\, showcasing Ukraine’s rich history through movement.\nMarket Stalls: Shop for unique Ukrainian goods\, including handmade jewellery\, Vinok flower crowns\, and intricate Pysanky Easter eggs\, each piece reflecting Ukraine’s quality craftsmanship.\nAuthentic Cuisine: Savour traditional Ukrainian dishes such as Varenyky (potato and cheese-filled dumplings)\, Holubtsi (stuffed cabbage rolls)\, and Chicken Shashliks (a Ukrainian twist on the classic kebab).\nKids Activities: Engage the little ones with fun-filled activities including face painting\, flower crown making\, and a giant inflatable obstacle course. \nJoin the Queensland Ukrainian Community for a day of cultural enrichment and Vechirka (joyous celebration) to mark Ukrainian Independence Day.
