DESCRIPTION:BrisSizzle and Sounds 2026\nBrisSizzle and Sounds is back at Roma Street Parkland for another free family day out\, with live music\, food trucks\, kids’ activities and plenty more on offer. The event raises vital funds for Foodbank Queensland and DrugARM\, supporting their work with Brisbane’s most vulnerable residents. \nEveryone’s favourite sisters\, Bluey and Bingo\, take to the stage for two live interactive sessions throughout the day\, with Meet and Greet tickets available from 1st May. \nThe Kids Zone is packed with free face painting\, balloon twisters\, lawn games\, bubble fun and a roving baby dinosaur courtesy of BrizKidz. Little Green Thumbs will also be running a free seedling workshop where kids can pot their own plant to take home or gift to Mum ahead of Mother’s Day. \nBrisbane-based musician Levi Xander provides the soundtrack for the day\, blending contemporary sounds with soulful vocals across multiple genres. Children will love the Bluey Live Interactive Experience and hands-on activities\, making it a perfect day out for parents seeking educational kids’ entertainment. \nSustainable BNE Festival 2026\nThe Sustainable BNE Festival\, formerly known as the Green Heart Fair\, is Brisbane’s premier sustainability event\, launched by the Brisbane City Council in 2009. \nHeld annually in autumn at Roma Street Parkland\, the festival offers a free\, family-friendly environment featuring activities\, entertainment\, and workshops focused on sustainable living. Visitors can engage with Brisbane’s leading sustainability experts\, enjoy live entertainment\, explore artisanal markets\, and participate in various eco-friendly activities. \nThe festival also emphasizes waste reduction\, aiming for a waste-free event through robust recycling and reduction practices. Visitors are encouraged to use sustainable transportation options\, such as buses\, biking\, or walking\, to access the festival grounds. \nProgram highlights\nEach year the festival program reflects the issues that matter most to Brisbane. \n\nPractical workshops you can apply at home\nInspiring talks from local leaders and changemakers\nInteractive displays and demonstrations\nCommunity led activities celebrating local action\n\nThe event will feature interactive workshops\, kids’ activities\, live music\, food trucks and local artisan market stalls\, alongside  opportunities to hear from sustainability experts\, community groups and local innovators. \nFamilies will be able to enjoy the Bluey Live Interactive Experience across the day\, with Bluey taking to the stage for three sessions.
