Low Sensory Viewing: Asia Pacific Triennial – World Autism Awareness Day
In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day on Wednesday, 2nd April, the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art will offer a low-sensory experience during opening hours, including the Asia Pacific Triennial exhibition.
Adjustments include reduced volumes and clearly signposted high-sensory exhibits. No public announcements will be made during this time.
Visitors with autism, sensory sensitivities, or disabilities are invited to enjoy a quieter experience from 9am to 10am before general crowds arrive.
The Children’s Art Centre project, Asia Pacific Triennial Kids, will also be open, offering free, inclusive activities suitable for all ages.
