The Triple P Positive Parenting Program is an extremely popular program and, under the Queensland Government initiative, some providers offer Triple P free if you live in Queensland. You can do the course online if time is an issue or can find and attend a session in your local area.
Triple P is an educational program designed to assist parents/ carers to positively respond and manage challenging behaviour in children.
Age Recommendation: Parents/ carers of children aged 0 – 16 years
1-2-3 Magic and Emotion Coaching
1-2-3 Magic is a behaviour management program which aims at teaching parents and guardians simple, precise and effective ways to manage their child or children. Based on the bestselling book by psychologist Dr. Thomas Phelan, 1-2-3 Magic helps you create a loving, supportive family atmosphere through the following principles:
- Parents are in charge
- No arguing
- No yelling
- No spanking
The Talk Less Listen More parenting course, based on the 1-2-3 method, is an online parenting course.

Bringing Up Great Kids
The Bringing Up Great Kids program has been evaluated and found to be an effective parenting program in supporting the development of mindful and positive relationships between parents/carers and children. It uses mindfulness strategies to assist parents in examining and improving their communication skills and promote positive interactions with their children.

Parenting Young Babies Group
Information sessions to help new parents to adjust to parenthood, explore sleep strategies, introduce solids, and provide advice on growth and development.

What Were We Thinking! Parenting Program
What Were We Thinking! (WWWT) is an innovative program for mothers and fathers having their first baby. Many parents will have attended childbirth education classes during pregnancy to help prepare for the birth, however parents also have much to learn after the baby arrives. This program aims to supports first-time parents by extending their knowledge and skills in managing their infant's needs.
