Incursion diversity

Whether it is science, maths, STEAM, health, nature, arts, or active pursuits that you are wanting to teach the children, there is a huge range of fun and exciting incursions that are available for schools, childcares and OSHC/vacation care providers. These are generally focussed on complimenting the curriculum needs and are designed to excite and engage the children at the same time.

School Incursions

School incursions offer students a break from their usual school routine and are designed to stimulate and extend their learning experience. Unlike an excursion, incursions involve a professional individual or business coming into the classroom or school and providing children with a hands-on educational experience outside of the books and white board. They usually come at less of an expense too, as student transport costs are not required and the exciting new lesson break can happen within the school (so no extra supervision or safety issues need to be considered). Another benefit is that most incursions can work around different school timetables.

Childcare Incursions

Incursions are a great way to bring the real outside world into the childcare centre and the change in routine can help to restore focus and spark engagement in the children. They are a great way to maximise student learning by giving children the ability to participate in a more ‘learn as they do’ educational experience as well.

OSHC/Vacation Care Incursions

Slightly different to incursions for schools and childcare centres, incursions for outside school hours care include a diverse range of exciting and engaging activities that are not neccessarily curriculum-based to keep the kids active and having fun in the school holidays and after school. Whilst some providers will still come to your centre to host your OSHC/Vacation Care incursion, many will also provide a hire service; allowing you to run the incursion without the need for additional external staff on campus.
