Taking Flight: Amazing migratory shorebirds Interactive Exhibition
Each year, nearly 20,000 migratory shorebirds make their way to the Pumicestone Passage, using it as a crucial rest stop on their 20,000-kilometre round trip between Australia and the Arctic Circle. During their journey, these birds must rest and refuel, often facing significant challenges along the way.
‘Taking Flight’ is an interactive exhibition designed for the whole family, offering a fascinating insight into the extraordinary world of migratory shorebirds. Through engaging displays and activities, visitors can learn about these remarkable travellers and the importance of protecting their habitat.
