Wonderstruck at QAGOMA
Step into a world of colour, imagination and creativity with Wonderstruck, a major free exhibition at QAGOMA designed to inspire curiosity in kids and adults alike.
Running across the entire winter school holiday season and beyond, this immersive exhibition brings together more than 100 artworks by celebrated Australian and international artists with many of them interactive, playful and designed with families in mind.
Children can explore Pip & Pop’s sparkling Rainbow Bridge, decorating Yayoi Kusama’s Obliteration Room with dot stickers, and see everyday objects like cardboard boxes, shopping bags and stacking toys transformed into incredible works of art.
There’s something for every age group, from whimsical installations and sculpture to quiet moments of wonder, like the delicate floating threads of Sandra Selig’s mid-air and the magical worlds hidden in Yuken Teruya’s recycled paper bags.
Whether you’re visiting with toddlers, tweens or teens, Wonderstruck is an unmissable chance to experience the magic of art through the eyes of a child – and perhaps rediscover a little wonder for yourself.
