World Lizard Day at Kumbartcho Sanctuary

World Lizard Day at Kumbartcho Sanctuary

Join the team from Geckoes Wildlife at Kumbartcho Sanctuary for a fun and interactive celebration of World Lizard Day — a free family-friendly event where curious minds can learn all about our incredible local lizards!

Discover fascinating facts about these often misunderstood reptiles, including:
🦎 Which lizards give birth to live young
🦎 Why some have brightly coloured tongues
🦎 The unique adaptations that help them survive in their habitats

Led by experienced wildlife educators from Geckoes Wildlife, this engaging session is perfect for kids and adults alike. Don’t forget to bring your reptile-related questions — the team is full of scaly knowledge and eager to share! Perfect for young nature lovers, budding biologists, and anyone curious about Australia’s lizard life!

After the session, families can wander through Kumbartcho’s fairy garden, browse the community nursery, or see if they can spot some real-life reptiles in the wild.
