QPAC 40 Open Day
QPAC is turning 40 and inviting everyone to join the celebration with a massive free Open Day on Sunday 31 August 2025.
From 9am, the iconic performing arts centre will open its doors for a day filled with entertainment, music, and behind-the-scenes experiences. Visitors can try their luck at Broadway Bingo on the Melbourne Street Green, step inside the La bohème tech activations at the Lyric Theatre, and hear the mighty Klais Grand Organ come to life in the Concert Hall.
Interactive art installations, including The Echoing Space by Penny Challen, will be on display, while live First Nations music from Toni Janke and Band and Tjaka will set the atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy self-guided tours, explore exhibitions, and discover surprise pop-up performances throughout the venue.
This milestone celebration offers a rare chance to explore QPAC’s secret spaces, enjoy unique performances, and be part of 40 years of performing arts magic in Brisbane.
