Riverside Market – Turns 40
Brisbane’s much-loved Riverside Markets are turning 40, and everyone’s invited to join the celebrations.
For more than three decades, Riverside Markets have been a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike, showcasing a vibrant mix of art, fashion, live music, and international food and coffee under the Queensland sun. Now set in their exciting location at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, just across the Alice Street forecourt and Albert Street, the markets continue to bring colour and culture to the heart of the CBD.
This special milestone celebration will feature free puppet shows, clowns, balloons, and performances by the original Brazilian band and dancers. Shoppers can also win great prizes with purchases on the day.
As Queensland’s very first craft market, originally located at Riverside Centre, Eagle Street for nearly 30 years, this event is a chance to celebrate its history and vibrant community spirit. Come for breakfast, explore the stalls, enjoy the entertainment, and be part of the 40th birthday festivities.
