Allora Heritage Weekend
Allora Heritage Weekend is a much-loved country event celebrating Australia’s rural and mechanical heritage, bringing together history, machinery and community spirit at the Allora Showgrounds. Now in its 31st year, the event has become a highlight on the Southern Downs calendar and attracts families and vintage enthusiasts from across the region.
Just over two hours from Brisbane, the weekend offers an impressive showcase of vintage and veteran cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines and historical machinery, with a special focus on Case and Caterpillar tractors, as well as classic utes, Landrovers, English trucks and motorcycles. The main arena stays lively with tractor pulls, novelty events and multiple grand and general parades, each traditionally led by the Light Horse.
A popular feature of the weekend is the Swap Meet, offering a wide range of parts, collectibles and memorabilia for enthusiasts and casual browsers alike. Gates open early, making it easy to enjoy a full day of displays and activities.
Food and refreshments are available throughout the grounds, including burgers, sausages, chips, coffee, ice creams and snow cones, and camping is available for those who wish to stay for the weekend. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead.
With its relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and strong country charm, Allora Heritage Weekend offers a memorable day out celebrating the stories and machines of generations past.
