Autism workshop for parents and carers

Calling all parents, grandparents and full-time carers! Join Positive Partnerships for a free one-day workshop right here in Queensland, where you’ll connect with other local families and come away feeling more confident and equipped to support your autistic child.

The Diversity of Autism We all know our kids better than anyone – this session starts there. You’ll reflect on how autism shows up specifically for your child at home and at school, and explore a range of hands-on strategies you can start using straight away to support their learning.

Understanding Sensory Processing Ever wondered why certain sounds, textures or environments feel overwhelming for your child? This session digs into how autistic individuals experience and process sensory information differently, and shares practical, neurodiversity-affirming strategies to help your child cope and thrive day to day.

Working in Partnerships From navigating school meetings to finding the right support services, this session is all about empowering you. Learn how to strengthen the connection between home, school and community, build your confidence as an advocate for your child, and leave with a clear, personalised plan for the road ahead.
