These are our favourite locations for pick your own strawberries in Queensland that we think should be added to your next road trip.
When is the strawberry season in Queensland?
There are two strawberry growing seasons in Queensland – one running through winter (generally May to October) that encompasses growers from Brisbane and north through to Bundaberg, and a second running in the cooler Stanthorpe region during summer (generally from October to May).
Check out your local farms for their specific strawberry season dates and open times. It is always a good idea to call in advance, as weather conditions can affect the crop yield, and unexpectedly hungry pickers can reduce the availability.

McMartin’s Strawberry Farm
Whilst not strictly located IN Brisbane, these farms are close enough to reach in an hour or two and are perfect for a day trip –

Features: Fresh already-picked berries available from the farm from June to October

When: Pick Your Own in September annually
Features: Purchase already-picked strawberries from June annually, with PYO open in September. The farm also grows pumpkins for Halloween, along with sunflowers and watermelons.
