Support koala conservation at the More for Koalas Free Movie Night at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Fig Tree Pocket this September 2026. Brisbane parents and kids can enjoy a jumping castle, food trucks, koala activities, and an outdoor screening of Blinky Bill The Movie under the stars.
More for Koalas – FREE Movie Night
This September, Lone Pine is doing more for koalas by supporting Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) as part of Save the Koala Month.
Every donation received throughout the month will go to AWC, helping support their work protecting native wildlife and the habitats they depend on through habitat restoration, threat management, wildlife monitoring and threatened species recovery.
To celebrate, we’re hosting a special ‘More for Koalas’ Movie Night on Saturday 19 September, featuring an outdoor screening of Blinky Bill The Movie (2015).
Before the movie, hear from Genevieve Deaconos, Philanthropy Manager at Australian Wildlife Conservancy, about the work they’re doing to protect native wildlife and the habitats they depend on, and how your support is helping conservation beyond Lone Pine.
There’ll also be plenty happening around the Cinema Lawn, including:
⭐ Special appearance from our mascot, Kevin the Koala
⭐ Jumping castle
⭐ Food trucks
⭐ Koala activities
⭐ Koala dress-up competition, with a koala merch pack up for grabs
🎬 Blinky Bill The Movie starts at 6:00pm. Grab your picnic rug or camp chair and settle in under the stars for the movie on the big screen.
Please note: Entry to the movie night does not include sanctuary admission. The sanctuary closes at 5:00pm for regular visitors earlier in the day. FREE parking is available in our main carpark. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they remain on a lead at all times. No BYO alcohol. Lone Pine is a licensed venue.
