Located within the growing North Harbour community in Morayfield, Scooter Park is a playground designed with active play in mind. Alongside the traditional playground equipment, families will find a dedicated riding track for bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades, plus a Ninja Warrior-style course for older and more adventurous children.

The riding track is one of the park’s standout features. Children can zoom around the circuit, practise their balance and build confidence as they navigate the different elements, including a mini platform where they can work on their skills.

For children who would rather climb than ride, the Ninja Warrior course provides another challenge. Located directly beside the playground, it features different elements to climb, swing, balance and navigate, giving confident climbers the chance to test their strength and agility.

The main playground has plenty to explore too, with a large climbing structure featuring rope-net walkways, climbing walls and play panels. There are three slides, including a larger tube slide accessed from the climbing tower, along with two open slides.

Younger children have their own toddler play area with a smaller fort and slides, while three swings cater for different ages and abilities. There is a standard swing, an enclosed toddler swing and a rope nest swing.

The playground is partially shaded by large shade sails, with spinning equipment and rockers dotted throughout the play space.

There is also plenty of room beyond the playground itself. A large grassy area provides space for ball games, running around or spreading out a picnic. Undercover BBQ facilities and picnic tables make it possible to turn a visit into a longer family outing.

Then there is the Ninja Warrior course, which is almost made for imaginative play. Children can pretend they are competing in their own ninja challenge, making their way across the different obstacles and creating their own mini obstacle courses.

Scooter Park has flat concrete pathways around much of the park, making it easier for families with prams and people with mobility needs to move around the wider park area. There is also an accessible toilet.

However, the main playground has a bark chip surface, which may make access more difficult for some wheelchair users and people using mobility equipment.

The park also has a large open grassy area surrounding the playground, providing additional space for families to enjoy away from the main play equipment.

What We Love About Scooter Park

One of the best things about Scooter Park is that it offers more than a traditional playground. The riding track, Ninja Warrior course, playground and large grassy area give children plenty of ways to stay active, with something to appeal to different ages and interests.

It is particularly well suited to families with children of different ages. Younger children can enjoy the toddler equipment and swings, while bigger kids can challenge themselves on the climbing structures, riding track and Ninja Warrior course.

With picnic tables, BBQ facilities, toilets and plenty of open space, you could easily make a longer afternoon of it rather than simply popping in for a quick play.

For a bigger adventure, the Caboolture Region Environment Education Centre (CREEC) is approximately a 15-minute drive away. It boasts a massive fenced, all-abilities playground, bushwalks and an environment centre.

Lightwood Parklands and Symphony Crescent Park are two more playgrounds nearby, and both have toilets.

Scooter Park is located on Scooter Avenue within the North Harbour community in Morayfield, near Buckley Road and Fraser Drive.

As North Harbour is a growing residential development, allow a little extra time to navigate through the estate if you have not visited the area before.
