Little World: An Alternative to Traditional Soft Play in Stafford
If your child loves pretend play, Little World in Stafford gives them plenty of ways to make believe. They can become shopkeepers, vets, builders, astronauts, explorers and drivers, all in one indoor play space.
Located inside Stafford City Shopping Centre, Little World is designed for children from around one year old through to the early primary school years.
The space

Little World has eight themed spaces to explore, including a child-sized supermarket, medical area, tradie zone, sensory room, camping area, space room, dress-up studio and a ring road for ride-on cars.
Children can move between the spaces and create their own games as they go. Little shoppers can scan groceries at the supermarket, while the medical area can become a doctor’s surgery or veterinary clinic.
Budding builders can get to work in the tradie zone, and the dress-up studio gives children costumes to help bring their characters and stories to life.
There’s also a sensory room with different textures and colours, lower lighting and a chalkboard. It offers a quieter space for children who need a break from the busier areas.
Little World is built around open-ended play, so children can take the lead and decide what happens next.
The kids’ menu

The on-site café serves barista coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices and children’s drinks. There are also pastries, muffins, cakes, fruit, yoghurt pouches and other snacks.
It’s handy when the kids get hungry mid-session or you’d like a coffee without leaving the play space. Free apples for children are also available at the venue.
The parent factor
You can park your pram, sit down with a coffee and keep an eye on your child as they explore. Seating is snug, but it’s also a chance to chat with other parents.
Being inside Stafford City Shopping Centre means there’s plenty of parking, and you can combine a play session with a trip to the shops.
Sessions are capped to keep numbers manageable, and the rooms are tidied and reset between sessions. Parents and carers stay with their children throughout, so this isn’t a drop-off activity.
The magic ingredient

Little World gives children familiar places and props, then lets their imaginations take over. A shopping trip might turn into a busy day running a supermarket. The medical area might become a vet clinic caring for every toy animal in sight.
For younger children, there’s something lovely about getting to try the things they see adults do every day. They can shop, build, dress up, go camping and turn it all into stories of their own.
