Family-Friendly Halloween Fun
This Halloween event is held at H T Ireland Reserve, Saraband Drive, Eatons Hill, and hosted by the Rotary Club of Albany Creek. It’s a free community event designed to give local children the fun of Halloween without families needing to walk long distances trick-or-treating.
The afternoon includes free carnival-style games, free lollies and chocolates, music from a DJ, dancing and a Monster Mash Dance Competition, so costumes are encouraged. There is also a Best Dressed Grand Parade, with prizes supported by Cath Tonks, City of Moreton Bay Councillor, and Tim Mander MP, State Member for Everton. A free Halloween photo booth is sponsored by RE/MAX Northern Realty.
Families are welcome to bring chairs and picnic rugs and set up on the grass for the afternoon. While the activities and treats are free, local community groups will be selling food and drinks on-site, with proceeds supporting their work in the area. Albany Creek Scouts will have a BBQ with hamburgers, sausages and cold drinks, the Lions Club of Albany Creek will serve hot chicken and gravy rolls, Eatons Hill State School P&C will have its Lucky Chocolate Drop and gelato ice creams, and the Rotary Club of Albany Creek will have snow cones, popcorn and fairy floss.
