The Day My Bum Went Psycho

The Day My Bum Went Psycho is a must see production for any child that loves the Andy Griffith’s book series of the same name! An adaption of the original book by David Lowe, the show tells the story of a boy, his runaway bum and some of the most dangerous bums in the world. With the aid of some bum-hunters, Zack tracks down his missing bum to the heart of an explosive bumcano.
The show is a world exclusive and guaranteed to provide lots of laughs as the whole audience is taken on the ultimate kid adventure.

Brisbane Arts Theatre are bringing Roald Dahl’s classic book about the 24-foot-high Big Friendly Giant and a little orphan called Sophie to life on stage.Whether you have already delighted in the books of one of our greatest storytellers of all time yet or not, The BFG (The Big Friendly Giant), adapted from Roald Dahl’s classic story of the same name, is one that you will not want to miss! In one of Dahl’s most crazy stories, the BFG and Sophie must team up to save the children of England from the child-eating giants, ably assisted by the Queen of England and the heads of the army and air force. With all the fabulous imaginative characters and adventures you’d expect from a Roald Dahl tale, this captivating, family-friendly adventure is sure to excite even the oldest of your clan.

Dreamworks Madagascar A Musical Adventure JR

Based on the original much-loved Dreamworks animated film, Madagascar, Madagascar the Musical features all new songs and all the beloved characters you know from the movie. It’s a laugh-a-minute adventure that includes Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo who embark on a journey out of the zoo and on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. Of course, the hilarious, plotting penguins, will be there too!
Much like the movie itself, there are plenty of entertaining highlights and laughs, designed to entertain the entire family (yes, there are varying levels of humour that can be taken away from this musical).

James and the Giant Peach

James and the Giant Peach is back in Roald Dahl’s classic tale, a favourite for young and old, and a great introduction to live theatre.
One day James meets a mystical old man who gives him a bag that contains the strongest magic the world has ever known. When James accidentally spills the bag near an old peach tree, the most incredible things start to happen….those familiar with the story will know what to expect and those who have not yet read the book will be in for a surprise!

The Jungle Book

If you think you know what to expect from a stage production of The Jungle Book think again! The Brisbane Arts Theatre production of The Jungle Book The Musical is a rock, pop and funky adaptation of the collected stories of Rudyard Kipling, returning by popular demand after a sell-out 2016 season.
This unique production sees the classic tale brought to life through all new songs and memorable characters, allowing the whole family to rediscover the fable of the abandoned “man cub”, raised by wolves in the jungle.
