Blackbutt Avocado Festival 2025

Blackbutt Avocado Festival – A Fun-Filled Celebration!

Experience the charm of the Blackbutt Avocado Festival, a family-friendly event packed with quirky entertainment, delicious food, and country hospitality.

Hop on the trackless train for a free ride around the festival, enjoy a meal from the local canteen, and soak up the vibrant sights and sounds. Don’t forget to meet Alvin and Avo-Joe, the friendly mascots of Avocado Australia, as they bring extra fun to the festivities!

The festival is filled with unique avocado-themed games and activities – watch skydivers drop from the sky, test your skills with the AvoToss, Avo Strongman & Strong Woman, Avo Golf, and Avo Roll, or take part in the legendary wheelbarrow races with over $2000 in prizes up for grabs!

Enjoy the sounds of local musicians and experience the heart of country life with homemade sweets, knitted goods, and a classic CWA tea and scones. Don’t miss out on a juicy country burger from the canteen or a taste of avocado in all its forms – avocado cheesecake, avo-topped nachos, and even straight from the farmer’s trailer!

Take time to explore quaint Blackbutt, famous for its delicious pies and thriving local art scene. Wander through town and visit Hotel Radnor, a historic pub celebrating the town’s deep connection to woodchopping, with memorabilia lining its walls and ongoing support for world-champion local woodchoppers.

Above all, this festival is a chance to support local farmers who work tirelessly to bring fresh avocados to Australian families. Join in, say thanks to a farmer, and celebrate the fruits of their labour in true country style!
