BLEACH* 2026

This event will be updated when 2026 details are released, until then peruse 2025 happenings for an idea of what to expect

BLEACH* 2025 is back with 11 unforgettable days of art, music, visual spectacle, opera, drama, storytelling, and feasting, set across three vibrant festival hubs: Kurrawa Park, Emerald Lakes, and HOTA.

Under the creative direction of acclaimed artist Michael Zavros, this year’s festival draws inspiration from his distinctive visual arts practice to deliver a bold and immersive program.

In 2025, BLEACH* will celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the Gold Coast, showcasing landmark works by leading national and international artists while proudly highlighting the voices and talents of local creatives.

Designed to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds, BLEACH* 2025 is set to captivate locals and attract visitors from across Queensland, interstate, and around the world.

A standout highlight will be First Light | Skywhales Across Australia, presented in partnership with the National Gallery of Australia. Audiences can witness the majestic Skywhale and Skywhalepapa rise with the morning sun in an awe-inspiring display of airborne sculpture. Skywhalepapa, a monumental hot-air balloon, joins Skywhale to form a skywhale family. Families and early risers are encouraged to bring a picnic, soak up the dawn atmosphere, and marvel at this magical moment of wonder and community connection.
