Brisbane Kite Festival 2026
The Brisbane Kite Festival is back in 2026, proudly hosted by the Rotary Club of Brisbane South East and Rotary Club of Carindale, and supported by Brisbane City Council.
Visitors can bring along their own kite or purchase one on the day, with assembly help available and plenty of space to take flight alongside spectacular aerial displays filling the sky with colour and movement. On the ground, the fun continues with family rides and slides, free children’s entertainment including bubbles and games, a KidZone with interactive activities, community stalls, and a great range of food options including food trucks, a sausage sizzle, ice cream, coffee, and cold drinks. Free filtered water will also be available on site.
Admission is free, with a gold coin donation appreciated to help Rotary continue their great work locally and internationally. Visitors are encouraged to bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and picnic rug. Dogs are welcome on leash, though visitors are asked to consider their pet’s comfort given the crowds, and to bring poo bags.
Whether soaring high with a kite or enjoying the fun on the ground, the Brisbane Kite Festival promises a full day of colour, laughter, and community spirit.
